Union Public Service Commission invites application for Combine Defence Services (CDS 2014) Exam for the admission to the undergraduate courses. A Combine Defence Service (CDS) Exam will be conducted by the Union Public Service Commission on 9th Feb 2014. These posts also includes SSC Women (Non-Technical) course.

Eligibility Criteria for UPSC CDS 2014

Educational Criteria:

1. For IMA: Degree of a recognized University.
2. For Indian Naval Academy: Degree in Engineering from a recognized university.
3. For Air Force Academy: Degree of A recognized university (with Physics and Math at 10+2 level) or bachelor in Engineering.

Graduate with first choice as Army/Naval/Air Force are to submit proof of graduation provisional certificate on the date of commencement of the SSB Interview at the SSB.

Candidates who are studying in the final year Degree course and have yet to pass the final year degree examination can also apply but they will be required to submit proof of passing the degree examination to reach the Army HQ/Rtg. CDSE Entry, West Block III, R.K. Puram, New Delhi-110066 in case of IMA/SSC first choice candidates and Naval HQ “DMPR”, (OI & R Section) Room No. 204,‘C’ Wing, Sena Bhawan, New Delhi- 110011 in case of Navy first choice candidates and PO3(A)/Air Headquarters,‘J’Block, Room No. 17, Opp. Vayu Bhawan, Motilal Nehru Marg, New Delhi-110011 in case of Air Force first choice candidates by the following dates failing which their candidature will stand cancelled : 

1. For admission to IMA, Indian Naval Academy and Air Force Academy on or before 13th May, 2014. 
2. For admission to Officer’s Training Academy, Chennai on or before 1st August, 2014.  

Candidates possessing professional and technical qualifications which are recognized by government as equivalent to professional and technical degrees would also be eligible for admission to the examination.

Age Criteria:

1. For IMA: Unmarried Male Candidates born not earlier than 2 Jan, 1991 and not later than 1 Jan 1996 only are eligible.
2. For Indian Navy Academy:  Unmarried Male Candidates born not earlier than 2 Jan, 1991 and not later than 1 Jan 1996 only are eligible.
3. For Air Force Academy:  Unmarried Male Candidates born not earlier than 2 Jan, 1992 and not later than 1 Jan 1996 only are eligible.
4. For Officer's Training Academy (SSC Courses for men) : Male Candidates (Married or Unmarried) born not earlier than 2 Jan, 1990 and not later than 1 Jan 1996 only are eligible.
5. For Officer's Training Academy (SSC Women non technical course) : Unmarried women, issue less widows who have not remained and issue less divorcees (in possession of divorce document) who have not remarried are eligible. Born not earlier than 2 Jan, 1990 and not later than 1 Jan 1996.

Physical standard: Candidate must be Physically fit according to physical standard for the admission to Combine Defence Service Examination (I) CDS 2014 as per guidelines given in Appendix-IV.

Examination Fee of CDS 2014

Rs-200/- for All (Except Female/SC/ST/), by depositing Cash in SBI or by NET Banking of SBI and Subsidiary or by VISA/Master Credit/Debit Card.
